This platform is operated by ViSpecs GmbH, Kirchengasse 76, 2722 Weikersdorf am Steinfelde (hereinafter "ViSpecs"). Protecting your privacy is especially important to ViSpecs. ViSpecs therefore complies with the applicable data protection rules (in particular the GDPR and the Austrian DSG) and informs you below how your personal data is processed.

Subject matter

ViSpecs provides the partner with a platform through which end customers can make contact and submit glasses-record data. ViSpecs processes this data on behalf of the partner (processing on behalf of a controller).

ViSpecs' obligations

• ViSpecs stores the data on secure servers within the EU.
• To deliver the analysis services, ViSpecs uses specialised sub-processors (AI providers) whose server locations are likewise within the European Union.
• ViSpecs secures the data against unauthorised access in line with the state of the art.
• ViSpecs ensures that, upon termination of the contractual relationship, the partner receives all data relevant to its documentation obligations (data export).

Partner's (optician's) obligations

• The partner is the "controller" within the meaning of the GDPR for the transmitted customer data as soon as it is used for the partner's professional service.
• The partner undertakes to inform its customers, in its own privacy policy, about the use of ViSpecs and the associated automated data processing.
• The partner is responsible for checking the data digitally transmitted by ViSpecs against the original glasses record before it is finally used for a professional service.
• The partner is responsible for complying with the statutory retention periods (10 years for medical documentation). After receiving the data export at the end of the contract, the partner assumes sole responsibility for further archiving.

Deletion at ViSpecs

After termination of the contract and successful handover of the customer data to the partner, ViSpecs will delete the personal data of the partner and its customers within 30 days, unless ViSpecs is subject to statutory retention obligations (e.g. accounting). Image files uploaded for AI analysis are deleted by the system immediately after the text data has been successfully extracted, unless another documentation arrangement applies.
